 Stoke have reportedly had a bid of £1.5 million accepted for Southampton’s 23 year old full back Andrew Davies.
 Davies, who is equally comfortable at centre back started his career at Middlesbrough, making 53 appearances for the Teeside club between 2002 and 2008. His spell at Middlesbrough featured loans to Queens Park Rangers, Derby County and Southampton, the latter being made permanent in January. Davies, who missed the final two months of last season with a fractured cheekbone has been capped once by England at Under 21 level.
