Stoke are believed to be in the hunt for Manchester City’s £4 million rated centre back Nedum Onuoha. The 22 year old has found himself falling down the pecking order at Eastlands this season, and with the expected influx of big name players to Manchester City in January, Onuoha may have to look for his football elsewhere.
Stoke, along with Middlesbrough, Wigan, West Brom and Hull are said to be interested in the Nigerian born England Under 21 international who made his first team debut for Manchester City in 2004 and has since made 63 further appearances in the league, scoring once.
Onuoha would be the sort of signing that Stoke need, a definite Premier League quality player who can add something to the Potters’ backline. Unfortunately, with other more renowned clubs also in the hunt, it seems unlikely that this one will come off, as much as I would like it to. Still, the one thing to remember about supporting Stoke is you never know what’ll happen next.
