This blog is designed to choose the greatest ever Manchester City player in my opinion (remember I am only young!). I shall publish one of these every now and again until finally we reach the best player ever to have embraced Maine Road or The City of Manchester Stadium!

NUMBER 10 >>>
EYAL BERKOVIC
2001-2004, 67 appearances, 9 goals
His skill blew me away at times, linking up so fantastically with the likes of Anelka and Goater and instrumental in holding the midfield with Ali Bernabia. Berkovic was often the catalyst in the most ‘pleasing to watch’ City side I’ve seen. Pivotal in the 2002-03 promotion campaign under Keegan, Berkovic carried that form into the Premiership and the way he dominated the midfield in the two Manchester derbies in our first season back in the top flight (against the likes of Paul Scholes) is a testament to his ability. Unfortunately his temperament let him down at times, other than that, a good footballer to grace Maine Road.
