The following article is about football acrobats and is a one-off article. It features those players who I have seen! Enjoy!
1.) Robbie Keane! – Tottenham Hotspur
After scoring a goal Robbie attempts a sort of semi-cartwheel-one-handed-handstand flip, which is followed by a forward roll (not so impressive after the first part of his routine!) He then follows that with a machine gun sequence. Now he is back and happy as skipper at Spurs, they have seen a lot more of this. I’m not sure the Kop saw much of this?

2.) Nani! – Manchester United
The Manchester United winger favours the basic double somersault. Sir Alex isn’t a fan though and it is widely rumoured that he has banned the midfielder from doing this ‘routine’. He fears for Nani’s well-being and doesn’t want him injured. No doubt if he scores a screamer once every few months he should be allowed? Come on Sir Alex, it’s not as if it’s Ronaldo? Everyone thinks Nani’s rubbish!
3.) Kenwyne Jones! – Sunderland
Jones gets a huge leap then proceeds to do numerous turns and twists in the air whilst propelling himself forward! it must be very difficult for Kenwyne, being so tall, to get so much height to perfom these moves?
4.) Obamfemi Martins – Newcastle
For a small lad, he doesn’t half move! He has an enormous leap, followed by some sort of flip or somersault! The Geordies love it, but have not seen much of it recently?

5.) Robert Earnshaw
When/If he scores he opts for casual a double somersault! I was lucky enough to see this when he scored against City, perhaps the highlight of the night! Again for a small lad he is very brave to attempt this, especially as he could easily land on his back and BANG…his career is gone? Like i mentioned though, he rarely gets the chance to show off this celebration!
If you don’t like this article, I do apologise. I stumbled across the idea whilst browsing the Sky Sports News website and then I thought…good idea to a blog on this. Obviously there are only 5 serious contenders for me, which I have seen, but any more suggestions would be welcome! Thanks.
