Weekly Gossip Round-Up

Another week, another shed loads of gossip. The rumour mill went into overdrive this week with the transfer window shutting tomorrow night. I’ll list the week’s best gossip here, and then keep you updated with all Tottenham transfer news ( and the biggest premier league moves ) via live blogging tomorrow night if I can. But in the meantime- here’s this week’s gossip.

NOTE- I’m not going to include all the Pavlyuchenko gossip that was floating about earlier this week as we signed him yesterday.

MID0: HESKEY WILL LEAVE SOON ( Setanta Sports Website ) Former Tottenham striker Mido claims Wigan want to sign him from ‘Boro as a replacement for Tottenham bound Emile Heskey.  “Boro want to keep me,” Mido told The People.  “But the transfer market is still open and Steve Bruce wants me to replace Emile Heskey, who will leave soon.”

POSSIBILITY- 6/10. I think most Spurs fans would be gutted to see Emile Heskey and Darren Bent replace Robbie Keane and Dimitar Berbatov. That said, I don’t really think Levy would allow Ramos to sign Heskey as Levy can probably guess the uproar that would cause among Spurs fans. Signing Heskey would be such a let down after being linked with Villa, Huntelaar etc.

NEWCASTLE OFFER OWEN £120 000 A WEEK AS TOTTENHAM AND MANCHESTER UNITED HOME IN ( Various Newspapers ) Newcastle have offerd Michael Owen £120 000 a week in order to keep him at Newcastle. Manchester United and Tottenham are both intrested in the striker, who could join either team depending on the outcome of the Dimitar Berbatov saga.

POSSIBILITY- 6/10. Owen might join Spurs, but I think he’d rather stay at the Toon. After all they can offer him more money and last year they only finished one place below us. As for Manchester United, who knows?

HULL AND SPURS TO FIGHT IT OUT OVER CAMPBELL ( http://www.premiershiplatest.com ) Manchester United are set to offer Tottenham £28mil plus Frazier Campbell in exchange for wantaway striker Dimitar Berbatov. How ever Hull are desperate to land the player who played on loan for them last season and have offerd United £7mil.

POSSIBILITY- 8/10. I think that Campbell is involved in the Berba deal somehow. I personally would take £28 mil and Campbell for the Bulgarian traitor, but theres a strong possibility that he would want to return to Hull.

SPURS TO NET FAT BRAZILIAN ( Various Websites ) Spurs are intrested in signing Ronaldo on a free transfer after AC Milan released him. Man City, Everton, Cruzerio and PSV are all also intrested.

POSSIBILITY- 2/10. Come on people, get real! I’m not certain that this isn’t a bit of a joke as I’m almost certain we won’t be signing Ronaldo. Man City might, but I’m pretty sure we won’t. Which is a good thing as I think he’s past it. Sorry Ronaldo!
