Jonathan Woodgate has been found ‘not gulity’ of speeding- thanks to legendary lawyer Nick Freeman.
Woody had always denied he had broken the speed limit whilst driving his Mercedes S65 near Long Newton, but he still had to appear at Teeside magistrates court. The district judge eventually found the 28 year old ‘not gulity’.
Nick Freeman has defended many celebrities in his time and has also defended a number of premiership footballers. Lee Bowyer, David Beckham and Andy Cole were all defended by Freeman, nicknamed ‘Mr Loophole’.
Nick Freeman later said; “He had always strenuously denied the allegation that he was speeding and refused the offer of accepting a fixed penalty notice.”
“He is now hoping for a similar victory at Wembley on Wednesday,”
Jonathan Woodgate is no stranger to controversy. In January 2000, he was charged with affray, alongside former team-mate Lee Bowyer.
