Young Players To Watch In 2013: Marco Fabian, Neymar & Mario Balotelli

1.Marco Fabian

He has made his mark on the international youth tournaments as he finished top goalscorer in the Toulon tournament held in France, and was in the gold medal winning Mexico squad for the 2012 Olympic games held in London. His part of the Mexico set-up in the Toulon tournament proved precious as all his goals made a huge impact on the progression of Mexico further into the tournament. Mexico would go on to win the Toulon tournament beating Turkey in the final game. Fabian currently plays his club football in his home land for Guadalajara Chivas, but has been under the close eye of Arsene Wenger.

2.Neymar

An obvious choice. The wonder boy, goes from strength to strength in each game for club and country, and it is easy to see why he is one the most endorsed and celebrated players on the planet. Each week his highlight reel increases dramatically, whether he is performing scientifically impossible skills or scoring un-human like goals, he is never to far from the camera. After the disappointment of losing a gold medal at the Olympics, and with the 2013 confederations cup drawing near, he will be as fiery as ever pulling out every magical spectacle whenever possible to ensure Mano Menezes’ attention is focused on the young Santos forward.

3. Mario Balotelli

He is quiet, but loud. Lazy but a work-aholic. Hated but also loved. He is indeed a strange character. The striker simply cannot be controlled or tamed as his list of wacky adventures enter the newspapers some how, whether he is setting on fireworks in his bathroom or giving out £20 notes to strangers. The Italian is blessed with pace and a killer strike at goal. His moment on the national stage came as Italy defeated Germany to progress to the finals, with 2 goals coming from the African born striker. He also scored in a group game against Ireland with an inventive shot with his back turned to goal. Unfortunately it was not to be for Italy as they were beaten by World and European champions Spain. Balotelli expressed real emotions after the game and could of been a step into maturity. Perhaps a new mature and less selfish Mario Balotelli will be out to retain Manchester City’s Premier League title?
