Leicester City are close to confirming a double loan swoop for two Premier League players, reports state this morning that Curtis Davies is all set to make a comeback at Leicester, while highly rated left-back Patrick Van Aanholt is also close to joining.
Davies is all set to reinstate his feet into the Walkers Stadium, after making twelve appearances for the Foxes earlier in the season. Manager Sven Goran Eriksson has done his up most best to re sign Davies, and it looks like he’s got his number one target. The centre back was keeping his options close to he’s chest, as reports stated that both Celtic and Stoke City were interested in the player; however it looks highly likely that Curtis Davies will sign a loan deal with Leicester City until the end of the season.
Meanwhile Sven Goran Eriksson has also been busy with another deal, this one could see Chelsea starlet Patrick Van Aanholt join the club also on a loan deal until the end of the season. The left-back was named in the starting eleven against MSK Zilina earlier in the season, plus he recently played in the 7-0 Fa Cup thrashing of Ipswich Town. Van Aanholt is highly rated in Chelsea’s ranks, and the 20 year old had a successful loan spell at Newcastle United last season.
Leicester City are likely to confirm both signings tomorrow, and with the transfer window set to close in just under a week’s time, expect Sven Goran Eriksson to make even more changes to the Foxes squad.
