It seems that Leicester City’s deal for Curtis Davies could be off, as West Midlands club Birmingham City want to sign the centre back on a permanent deal.
Yesterday reports stated that both Davies and Van Aanholt were on the verge of joining Leicester City; however while Van Aanholt has now signed, Davies’s proposed move could well be scampered by Birmingham. This means that the 25 year old could well do the West Midlands switch, from Villa to Birmingham a move that Liam Ridgewell recently decided upon.
Sven Goran Eriksson has tried his up most best to bring Curtis back to the Walkers Stadium, and yesterday it seemed certain that he would be heading back to Leicester until the end of the season. A number of fans have voiced their opinions on a Davies comeback, stating that a move back to the Championship is something that the defender wouldn’t be keen on.
Meanwhile in other transfer news Dany N’Guessan has completed a loan switch to League 1 side Southampton, and Martyn Waghorn could still join Nigel Clough’s Derby County.
