Daggers player of the month September – Nominees and winner!

Here are my nominees for Daggers player of the month. A month that has seen us lose twice in the league, draw once and win once. We also recorded another victory over Barnet in the JPT. So all in all, a steady month to consolidate our good start.

Jon Nurse – Has filled in tremendously in an unfamiliar position and has not really got the credit he deserves this month.

Sam Saunders – Is brimming with confidence. Doesn’t look scared to shoot and seems to relishing a more free role. His set pieces and deliveries are much better and he is getting his name on the scoresheet as well.

Paul Benson – Scored a brilliant volley against Wycombe and seems to be getting his sharpness back. His instincts have never been in doubt as when he wasn’t scoring he was still getting into the right areas. Has scored 4 goals this month.

Peter Gain – His experience in the middle has really helped this month as we have come up against 4 very good league sides. Has probably slightly overshadowed Taiwo this month who hasn’t quite been at the standard he set himself in August.
