It doesn’t seem that long ago that Kettering Town chairman Imraan Ladak was sacking Paul Gascoigne for his troubles at Rockingham Road as The Poppies sat 13th in the BlueSQ North but here now just four years later under the guidance of Mark Cooper Kettering are 3rd in the BlueSQ Premier and looking like potentially making it into the Football League for the firsttime.

Not bad for little old Kettering, not only this he also got Town to the FA Cup Fourth round last season, a tie with Fulham (lost 4-2), a remarkable success for The Poppies. Last Saturday Kettering ran out 2-1 winners over a highly rated Wimbledon team and next Saturday they play Redditch in the FA Cup Qualification Round. It should be an easy win as Redditch sit 21st in the BlueSQ North, the league below Kettering.
