Crystal Palace have made an offer to sign Manchester City forward Oscar Bobb on loan for the remainder of the season.
Oliver Glasner’s Palace side are in search of reinforcements during the January window, with the pressures of a small squad and multiple competitions taking their toll.
Although now out of the Carabao Cup, Palace are still in the Europa Conference League, and have the FA Cup the contend with.
In the Premier League, the Eagles are ninth as it stands, but just three points off fifth-placed Chelsea.
The fight for European football looks like going down to the wire, so it’s no surprise to see them eyeing more arrivals.
Palace are pursuing defender Sacha Boey from Bayern Munich in order to sure up their back-line.
And according to reports, they have now made an offer to bring in Bobb from City on loan.
Crystal Palace Make Offer For Man City’s Oscar Bobb
Norwegian international Oscar Bobb has been on Crystal Palace’s radar for some time.
The 22-year-old had made 47 senior appearances for City, scoring three goals.
But his game time has been limited, and he has struggled to regularly earn a starting spot at the Etihad.
With City keen on Antoine Sememyo from Bournemouth, Bobb’s path to regular minutes could soon be blocked further.
Antoine Semenyo is expected to complete a £65M move to Manchester City in early January, a deal that could see young winger Oscar Bobb pushed towards an exit from the Etihad.

Despite this, the club are reluctant to lose such a talented young attacker.
As a result, a loan move seems the most logical solution in the short term.
How Would Oscar Bobb Fit In At Palace?
Able to play on either flank are through the middle, Oscar Bobb has shown his versatility under Pep Guardiola.
He likes to cut inside and drift into spaces between the lines – something that could suit Glasner’s system at Palace.
The German coach prefers to play with two attacking midfielders who can hold width, meaning his formation could be ideal for Bobb.
If Palace are able to negotiate a loan move for Bobb, particularly one that includes a potential future buy option, it would be smart business.
Understand Oscar Bobb could leave Manchester City in January. If Semenyo deal is completed, Bobb will seriously consider his exit.
Several clubs already made approaches for Bobb, including Borussia Dortmund in the recent weeks. ⚫️

There is clearly a player there who is ready to step up into a regular starting role in the Premier League.
That is not something he will get at City, for now at least.
So a move to a team fighting around upper mid-table feels like a sensible progression for the youngster.
And If Palace can secure his serviced and get the best out of him, it will be a move that seriously benefits their European ambitions.
Palace’s next fixture is on New Year’s Day, when they host Fulham in the Premier League.
