Jadon Sancho is still on the lookout for a new club as his Manchester United future remains up in the air.
The Red Devils wide player has interest from around Europe and recently saw what would have been a permanent exit go up in flames as he reportedly refused to drop his wages to greenlight the deal.
We told you recently how Sancho HAD agreed to slash his salary in a bid to find a new permanent home with Ruben Amorim looking to get shot of the England international.
AS Roma arrived for Sancho at the negotiating table and submitted a proposal to take the playmaker to Serie A and end his Old Trafford nightmare.
It would have been on a loan with an obligation to buy with the fee sitting at £20million for the attacker, but it was then made clear that Sancho had snubbed Roma by urging his representatives to inform the club of his decision.
Aston Villa show interest in Manchester United star Jadon Sancho
Now, though, another departure avenue may well have reared its head and given Sancho the opportunity to move.
According to multiple reports, Aston Villa are interested in the 25-year-old and they are seemingly “exploring the possibility” of a swoop for the former Borussia Dortmund star.
Sancho spent last season on loan at Chelsea and an obligation to buy clause was inserted into that deal at the time with the Blues ready to splash out.
However they reneged on the deal and were then forced to spend £5m on a penalty clause in the deal for pulling out.
Villa are needing forward threats and like Sancho but they are waiting to learn whether or not a loan deal for the player would be doable.
It is also being reported that there would be no involvement with Sancho that would scupper any sort of move from Manchester United to land Villa’s goalkeeper Emi Martinez.
Will Sancho Aston Villa interest help Emi Martinez to Man Utd?
The Argentinian World Cup winner is wanted by United who are hoping to land his signature to compete with Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir.
United previously fancied Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp but now they have turned their attentions to the tried and tested Martinez who was left out of Villa’s defeat to Crystal Palace yesterday evening.
It is believed that Martinez could make the move regardless of the Sancho interest which would be its own move separately.
Either way, time is running out for Sancho to leave United and a last-minute move may have to be sanctioned.
