Jenkins an ‘Orn to 2012

Ross Jenkins Watford 2008/09

Ross Jenkins has signed a new three-and-a-half year deal with Watford.

The up and coming midfielder broke into the first team back in August. Since then he has remained a player of significance for the first team and has even been shortlisted for this year’s Championship Manager Young Apprentice of the Year.

The 18 year old was a Carling Cup participant in his early first-team days; however after playing his first Championship match in November he has not looked back.

Jenkins has racked up 25 appearances for the Golden Boys and has already experienced Premiership opposition in West Ham, Tottenham and Chelsea. He netted his first goal for Watford against Birmingham City.

The midfielder is a product of Watford’s academy. He improved immensely under the watchful eye of the Academy coaches and was closely monitored by Malky Mackay during his time in the reserves.
