Leicester To Move For O’Neil?

With January closing in Leicester City are expected to spend big money on some big name signings, Kyle Naughton, Curtis Davies and Greg Cunningham could well make their loan moves permanent, while Aston Villa’s Habib Beye, South Africa international Bernard Parker and the well known David Beckham have already been linked with a switch to the Walkers Stadium.

Meanwhile reports from Teesside claim that Middlesbrough are all set to offload some of their star players including David Wheater, Kris Boyd and Gary O’Neil. Gary O’Neil predominantly a central midfielder but can also play right wing has attracted interest from a number of Premier League clubs; however big money spenders Leicester City could also make a move for the former Portsmouth player. Sven Goran Eriksson has £10 million to spend on players, and he could well make Gary O’Neil one of his first January signings.

Out of the Walkers Stadium exit door seems to be Bruno Berner, the consistent left-back hasn’t been able to force his way back into the Leicester side, since Greg Cunningham made a loan move from Manchester City.  Berner stated his desire for first team football, “I want to play regular, first-team football. There is still a huge desire and ambition.” Out of favour players including Michael Lamey, Michael Morrison, Robbie Neilson and Dany N’Guessan could also be heading for the exit door.
