This Weekend’s Premier League Betting Preview

After an entertaining round of of FA Cup and Premier League football, another full round of the Premier League football will be here this weekend and the most promising round-ups include Manchester United v Reading, Aston Villa v QPR and two London derbies Tottenham v Fulham and Chelsea v West Ham. With nine matches left for most clubs we enter the most important period of the league where teams are competing in the title race and the relegation battle.

What better way to kick start the weekend early than to take a look at some of the betting opportunities and preview those key Premier League match-ups:

Manchester United (1/8) v Reading (12/1)

The two teams have already played twice this season once in the Premier League where it was played at the Madejski Stadium resulting in a 3-4 away win for the Red Devils where all the goals came before the 35th minute and in the FA Cup Fifth Round resulting in a 2-1 win for United at Old Trafford. Manchester United are currently the best team in form and are on the brink of clinching their 20th English league title and Reading are deep in the relegation battle having lost four in a row which lead to the sacking of manager Brian McDermott.

Chelsea (2/5) v West Ham United (13/2)

The second of two London derbies taking place week, where both teams are coming off one game wins from last week where Chelsea beat West Brom and West Ham beat Stoke City. Chelsea are now aiming for a Champions League spot for next season after they were beaten 0-1 against Romanian side Steaua Bucuresti in the Europa League and West Ham look for a top ten spot.

Aston Villa (23/20) v QPR (23/10)

Both teams are coming off vital wins and the two clubs are continuing to look for safety at the bottom of the table where a win for QPR would almost see them out of the drop zone for the first time this season.

The Tottenham (1/2) v Fulham (6/1) London derby looks to be another blockbuster as Spurs are looking to bounce back from a loss to Liverpool and Fulham have a two match unbeaten run. The two north-west clubs Everton (23/10) v Manchester City (23/20) look to continue their form from last week and the Swansea City (11/5) v Arsenal (13/10) match may see another upset for the Swans after the Gunners were beaten 2-0 in the previous fixture after a Michu brace.

From the odds I see a Manchester United win over Reading, a Chelsea win over West Ham, a QPR away win over Aston Villa, a Spurs win over Fulham, a draw for Everton and Manchester City and a Arsenal win over Swansea City.
