Nico Paz Tottenham Transfer Interest Earns Response From Como President

Como are still waiting on an official approach from Tottenham for their target, Nico Paz.

The Argentine attacker has been impressive under former Arsenal favourite Cesc Fabregas in Serie A and he has played 37 times for the club since arriving in 2024 from Real Madrid.

That has alerted Spurs and other Premier League sides to his talents having also come through the ranks at Real Madrid with the first-team as well as with the youth club where he began his career.

At just 20-years-old, Paz is expected to have a long and successful career and he is wanted in North London as a potential alternative to Ebere Eze who chose to join Arsenal over their rivals earlier in the summer window.

Reports have claimed regarding Paz that it could be a transfer that costs Spurs as much as £70million to secure should they wish to submit an official offer.

Como have not received Spurs offer for Nico Paz

However, despite Thomas Frank’s desire to sign the player, his club Como’s president, Mirwan Suwarso, has declared that some of the speculation surrounding the star is untrue.

Madrid, for example, are believed to have a buy-back clause in Paz’s contract which would essentially give Los Blancos first refusal on his future which they are likely to trigger to avoid losing him to Spurs or anyone else.

And Suwarso told Corriere della Sera: “It’s not true that we rejected a proposal.

“Nobody makes an offer knowing that we must forward it to Real Madrid, who can match it. At some point, we feared Nico Paz could return to Real Madrid. He was raised in the Real Madrid academy and dreams of playing at the Bernabeu one day.”

What Paz has said about Premier League transfer interest

That could throw a spanner in the works for any possible deal for Frank and his side who are also interested in Manchester City’s Savinho and are working on that deal.

City want to keep hold of the Brazilian but all will depend on the winger’s own personal preference for his next steps.

Paz himself, however, has been making sure to keep his nose out of it and instead he has chosen to fully focus on his football and let the other things take care of themselves.

Asked about the interest in his services this window, the playmaker was relaxed.

And speaking to reporters in Italy, Paz said: “The transfer market? I didn’t listen to anything, I stayed focused on preparing for the season.

“Let’s hope everything goes well and that we can reach the highest possible level.”
