Juande Ramos plea to Russian manager Gus Hiddink about resting Roman Pavlyuchenko tomorrow has fallen on deaf ears. Hiddink has stated that he will play the new Spurs striker in tomorrows international against Wales.

Spurs had written to the Russian FA about resting Pavlyuchenko before his Spurs debut, but Hiddink was having none of it;
“Spurs did send us a letter suggesting that he did not play. But our medical staff, and those from his previous club say he is healthy, and I must take that same view. He must give everything for the national side and only after the match will he consider his obligations to Spurs.”
“It was a strong suggestion that we should leave him out, but if you fear injury you would never play anyone. If Spurs had a league game coming up and were worried about players being injured, nobody would ever play. Spurs are being over-concerned.”
Despite Hiddink ignoring Tottenham’s plea, he intends to build a strong relationship up with the men upstairs at White Hart Lane. Hiddink revealed he would soon be travelling to London to discuss Pavlyuchenko’s future Russian performances and hoped that there would be no future debate on wheter or not Pavlyuchenko’s Russian future.
Pavlyuchenko’s Spurs Message.
The Tottenham squad have wasted no time in telling Roman Pavlyuchenko how to become a Spurs legend; by scoring a goal against Arsenal.
The Russian hitman speaks little English, but revealed that, thanks to the Spurs squad, he now knows how to write himself into the Tottenham record-books.
The Russian said: “At the Spurs camp they put it like this to me — score against Arsenal and you are a hero.”
After only beating the enemy once in our last 22 encounters, lets hope Pav gets the message!

Pav: They told me to score against Arsenal.
