According to reports, Spurs boss Harry Redknapp was at the San Siro to watch Inter Milan host Genoa in the Italian Cup, and was seemingly keeping an eye on two players in particular. No, not Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ricardo Quaresma.
Brazilian Adriano is the first name, with Jose Mourinho stating that, although he wants the striker at Inter, due to personal problems it may be best for the striker to move on. Harry seems keen to bring the out-of-favour Brazilian to White Hart Lane on a loan deal. The Adriano of three years ago was abscent for some time, but Mourinho seems to be bringing the best out of him again. The silky Brazilian would not be guarenteed a starting place, but could provide excellent cover if Darren Bent is to be sold.
Adriano’s agent, Gilmar Rinaldo, however has ruled out a loan deal.
“Adriano won’t be going to Tottenham – he’s staying at Inter,” Rinaldi told Sportmediaset.
“Mourinho has already said that he wants Adri to stay put and so there is nothing more for me to say.
“I haven’t spoken to President Massimo Moratti or Mourinho about these rumours and there is no need for me to travel to Italy because Adriano is staying in Milan.”
The second player the Tottenham boss was beleived to be looking at is Olivier Dacourt. Harry has reportedly met with representatives of the Frenchman, as he looks for a player to fill the defensive midfield void. Stephen Appiah is currently on trial at the North London club, but Dacourt is seemingly Redknapp’s prime target. At 34, Dacourt has made over twenty appearences for his national side, but would really struggle with the demands of the Premiership.

One player eportedly leaving the Capital-based club, is young Mexican Giovani Dos Santos. Redknapp has said that he is not the type of player, just like many others, for a relegation battle. But if we survive, he will REALLY regret selling him when it comes to next season’s European push.
