Leicester City has finally announced that Jay Spearing has joined the club on loan until the end of the season. After yesterday’s rumours that Spearing was set to complete a deal on Tuesday, those rumours were correctly true as Leicester have confirmed this morning that he is a Foxes player.
The 21 year old joins up with former Liverpool team mate Jack Hobbs. Spearing is set to go straight into the squad for the game against Reading tomorrow.
Leicester chairman Milan Mandaric has stated on LCFC.COM… “Jay is a great signing for the team, a player that should be a big help to us between now and the end of the season”.
The loan window closes on Thursday, and we could well expect another loan signing by deadline day. Hopefully Pearson strengthens his squad with another loan signing, as in my view an out to out right-winger is still needed.
