Gabriel Agbonlahor, Ashley Young and goalkeeper Scott Carson have been left out of Fabio Capello’s reduced 23 man England squad for Wednesdays friendly against the French in Paris.
All three had been picked in a preliminary 30 man squad along with Villa captain Gareth Barry.
It is believed Carson picked up an injury in the defeat to Sunderland today. His place is taken by Spurs keeper Paul Robinson.
Other players missing out include Jermaine Jenas, Jermaine Defoe, Shaun Wright-Phillips and David Wheater. Matthew Upson is out through injury.
