Walter Your Time Is Up

A single goal mid-way through the first-half from Lee Miller was enough for Aberdeen to hold on to beat Rangers 1-0 at Pittodrie this afternoon. Aberdeen seemed to start the brightest and their youngsters Michael Paton and Peter Pawlett impressed with their neat touches and passing. The goal came on 17 minutes and haulted Rangers’ 25 match unbeaten domestic run, when Michael Paton shifted the ball to his right-foot on the left-wing, which caught Steven Whittaker off balance, Paton’s cross was diverted into the net by Lee Miller as he reacted first in the six-yard box.

The Champions had a claim for a penalty in the first-half when Steven Whittaker went down after Chris Maguire seemed to clip the heels of the Rangers right back, no penalty was given. Rangers had two great chances through Kris Boyd, one which saw the goal-machines shot diverted over the bar by Kyle Lafferty and the other well-saved from Jamie Langfield. In the second half, Rangers had most of the ball but huffed and puffed as they failed to find an equaliser.

There is more to this than losing to Aberdeen, I am one of many supporters who have now lost patience with Walter Smith – again today, another baffling team selection with two strikers in centre midfield, with two centre-midfielders on the flanks? Its embarrasing, a team devoid of any creativity or any basic ability.

Its awful, you have to watch them every week to understand how I feel right now.

Worst Rangers Team Ever.

Your time is up Walter.
