Leicester City has announced today that an International consortium led by Aiyawatt Raksriaksorn, has bought the club however Milan Mandaric will stay on as Chairman.
After months of speculation and talks the deal has finally unfolded, as a day of prospect at Leicester City Football Club is slowly coming to an end. With news earlier this morning that Alan Birchenall will stay on at the club, this major takeover announcement is the icing on the cake for all “Foxes” fans, as the club is all set for a very bright future.
The deal will pay off the 26 million debt, plus it could potentially help Paulo Sousa with new signings. The town of Leicester will have to get used to the name of Aiyawatt Raksriaksorn, as his Thai business will be involved with the club for the foreseeable future.
Leicester City’s official statement forwarded by Milan Mandaric stated that the deal represents three things and that the partnership has helped the club secure its “ambitious plans” and “our exciting plans for the future”.
