Crystal Palace are closing in on a deal for Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen.
Talks between the clubs have progressed quickly in recent days, with Palace now well placed to land the Norway international.
Strand Larsen Crystal Palace Transfer Latest
Crystal Palace are close to reaching a verbal agreement with Wolves for Strand Larsen.
A fee of around £45 million is being discussed, with a further £5 million in add-ons also part of the negotiations.
While no formal bid has yet been submitted, sources close to the talks indicate discussions are advanced both on the transfer fee and on personal terms.
Wolves are open to selling Strand Larsen at the right price despite the striker being under contract until June 2030, with an option for an additional year.
The club’s position has been influenced by their struggles this season, with Wolves currently bottom of the Premier League.
Although they value the 25-year-old highly, the scale of Palace’s proposed package is difficult to ignore.
Agent Jorge Mendes is representing Wolves in negotiations.
Leeds Interest in Strand Larsen
Leeds have made multiple attempts to sign Strand Larsen this transfer window and are still interested.
Their offers have reached £40 million but have all been rejected by Wolves.
Despite the player’s agent being a Leeds supporter and Strand Larsen showing interest in a move to Elland Road, Leeds are unwilling to increase their bid at this stage.
That has allowed Crystal Palace to move ahead in the race.
Jorgen Strand Larsen Premier League Record
Strand Larsen made an immediate impact in his first Premier League season, scoring 14 goals and providing five assists across 38 appearances in the 2024–25 campaign.
This season has been more disrupted, with injuries limiting his involvement. Even so, he has still contributed six goals and two assists in a struggling Wolves side.
His performances have not gone unnoticed, with Newcastle having bids rejected for Strand Larsen last summer and clubs in Italy, Spain and Saudi Arabia also monitoring his situation.
Jean-Philippe Mateta Crystal Palace Future
Strand Larsen’s potential arrival at Selhurst Park is likely a replacement for Jean-Philippe Mateta, who has made it clear he wants to leave.
Crystal Palace want around £40 million for the 28-year-old France international, whose contract runs until June 2027.
Nottingham Forest have already made an offer worth £35 million, while AC Milan are keen. Juventus and Aston Villa also explored a move earlier in the window.
A deal for Strand Larsen would ensure Palace are getting a reliable Premier League striker with high upside before the transfer deadline.
