Giggs: Wigan won’t be easy

Man Utd veteran midfielder Ryan Giggs has said that he does not expect Wigan to give Man Utd an easy game as the JJB stadium. Wigan did Man Utd a huge favour when they held Chelsea to a draw last month, with a late goal from Heskey. Had it not been Heskey’s equaliser, Chelsea would be two points ahead of Man Utd right now.

But the truth points to something totally different. The league is in the hands of the Red Devils. They can take it or leave it! But after a wonderful campaign, all football spectators worldwide believe that Ferguson’s men will give an amazing performance against Wigan and come out victorious. They are further boosted by a guaranteed place in the UEFA Champions League final, with their opponents being the same team that is their only standing rival in this season’s Premier League campaign.

“It’s going to be a tough game. Wigan have got some decent players. They showed that when they played Chelsea and got a draw. But no matter what happens with Chelsea, it’s still in our hands and we’ve got to be professional and do our job.” – Ryan Giggs

Bobby Charlton

Giggs will equal Sir Bobby Charlton’s record of making the most appearances for the club, if he plays against Wigan. And with Nani’s 3-match suspension, Giggs is a good candidate to start against the Latics, having a combination of amazing skill and vast experience to lead the team to obtaining back-to-back Premiership titles.
