Lucas Neill has recently rejected a 1 year extension to his contract in the hope of finding a new challenge. I think that this is deeply saddening news even though it was the right time for him to go. Unfortunately it looks as though he is looking to go to Manchester City to work with his old boss Mark Hughes. Some will say that Neill has made a bad decision, I would agree with them but I also think that he has been a great captain and deserves to go. He has been a great captain and an even better player.
