Liverpool and Roma to pay €35M for Keirrison?!

British press released the especulation that Liverpool and AC Roma would be in fight for Palmeira’s top scorer Keirrison.

Brazilian press repercution is that Liverpool would be able to pay up to €35M to have the 20-year-old striker.

I honestly doubt about this numbers: how could Liverpool pay this fee in time of economic crises? Fernando Torres was bought for something aroud £26M (almost €30M), and with €35M Liverpool can buy good strikers in Europe – maybe not young as Keirrison, but settled in European football.

Robinho, which at the time was most promising and international famous (had been in the first team of Brazil’s Confed Cup ’05 title) costed US$35M (almost €28M today).

Spaculation will show up, but I don’t think Keirrison will be sold for this amount of money. He will not receive an offer this high at august, will stay in Palmeiras and will leave in august 2010 for no more than €20M.
