Aston Villa v’s Bolton Wanderers

Villa take on Bolton Wanderers tomorrow in a vital clash for both sides.

Bolton are rooted in the bottom three but Villa are coming into the game on the back of three straight defeats and will be looking to show the home support some of their early season form which had supporters dreaming of a European place. That looks almost certainly out of reach but Martin O’ Neill wont want his side finishing the season on a wimper.

Villa should have John Carew fit and he could partner Gabriel Agbonlahor in attack. Wayne Routledge and Moustapha Salifou are pushing for first starts for the club and Shaun Maloney and Marlon Harewood could also feature.

Villa haven’t kept a clean sheet in all competitions since a 4-0 victory over Blackburn at the end of November. A clean sheet in this game must be a priority for the defence.

Villa can be backed at 8/13

Bolton: 7/2

Draw: 5/2

My prediction: Aston Villa 2-1 Bolton Wanderers
