The departure of David Moyes from Everton is overshadows by Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure from the theatre of dreams, in his last match in charge at Goodison Park Everton beat 2-0 over West Ham and the goals were scored by Moyes’ last signing Kevin Mirallas! David Moyes will take charge of the hot seat vacated by the irreplaceable Scot legend at Old Trafford. But the big question is who will replace David Moyes after 11 successful years?
Roberto Martinez – The Spanish manager spent 4 years at the DW Stadium and finally won a trophy as a manager (which Moyes couldn’t do with Everton for the past 11 years) after beating Man City 1-0 in an incredible match which maybe open the door to Mancini to look for another club. To be honest Martinez didn’t really impressed me over the last 4 years, he did an amazing comebacks to keep the Latics alive in the Premier League but for the majority of the season his team didn’t perform and it was counted as a miracle every time Wigan stayed up. But for me the performance that Wigan showed against City and if Martinez will make Everton perform like this for most of the season he could me more successful than Moyes. He knows how to handle without a lot of money, and use it wisely and we can see it with the purchases of A. Kone, Maloney, Watson, McCarthur, McCarthy and more.
Neil Lennon – Celtic manager who led the Scottish side to Champions League last-16 but was demolished by Juventus (5-0 on agg) Lennon expressed his frustration as he doesn’t have enough spotlight at Celtic, so if he will go to Everton he will get Premier League football experience and he is maybe the favourite to get the job at Goodison Park, Lennon won 3 titles at Celtic with a potentially 4th title as he face Hibernian on May 26th and secure his first double as a manager.
Owen Coyle – Bolton Wanderers’ former manager was sacked from the trotters in October 9th 2012 after being relegated and failing to succeed in the Championship, the-46-years-old manager can build a long-term team like Everton will want after spending 11 years with the same manager, same tactics and same type of players. Coyle will be hungry to win trophies what Moyes’ seemed to lack during his tenure with the toffees.
Avram Grant – The Israeli manager is the most successful manager in the list winning 2 Israeli Championships, 1 Israel state cup, 3 Israeli League cup and most recently Serbian SuperLiga with Partizan Belgrade! He was the first manager to lead Chelsea to the Champions League final which was determined by the famous penalty miss of captain John Terry. He was runner-up in the Premier League, Champions League and formerly known Carling Cup that season. He was runner-up with Portsmouth in the FA Cup a year later and got relegated the-58-year-old Israeli will be more than happy to return to the Premier League and could secure European Football next season for Everton with tons of experience. Like Martinez Grant spent most of his career with little budgets clubs.
