Louis Saha Sends Clear Transfer Advice to Everton

David Moyes Everton Coach

Former Everton forward Louis Saha has urged the Toffees to sign Jack Grealish in the summer transfer window.

Grealish joined Everton on loan from Manchester City in the summer.

According to reports, there is a £50 million direct purchase option included in the contract. Although it is believed to be negotiable to an extent.

Everton Urged to Make Jack Grealish Transfer Permanent

Speaking with BOYLE Sports, Louis Saha explained why signing Jack Grealish should be at the top of Everton’s agenda.

He said (via Liverpool ECHO):

Jack Grealish should be the priority.

You can see that he is enjoying his football and has a bond with the players. You can see that they are having fun with Iliman Ndiaye.

The contribution that he has had is enormous. Still, I think that they don’t have the right striker at the moment or the right combination of strikers.

Saha continued:

They have a similar kind of profile with the new signing, like Thierno Barry. When they have a different type of forward, it will be interesting to see.

When you look at the smile on Grealish, you can see a different person now.

I’d definitely urge Everton to do whatever they can to give him that stability. And I think he will get it more at Everton than Man City.”

Manchester City paid Aston Villa a hefty £100 million fee to sign Grealish in 2021.

He struggled to play his best football in his debut season, but bounced back with aplomb in 2022/23. The Englishman scored five goals and provided 11 assists as the Cityzens won the Treble that season.

Fabrizio Romano: Everton Have a Chance of Signing Grealish

Everton sprung a surprise by securing a loan move for Jack Grealish last summer. However, signing a player of Grealish’s profile on a permanent deal is much tougher due to the financial implications of the move.

However, transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano believes the Merseysiders have a realistic shot at signing him.

I think it’s a possibility to find a solution with Manchester City because, what I’m told is, Jack Grealish has no way back at Manchester City,” Romano said on the Men in Blazers podcast.

So, they believe that chapter is completely closed. And that’s good news for Everton. He’s very happy at Everton. So, I think they have a chance to find a solution if all parties go in the same direction.”

Grealish was the Player of the Month for August, marking the perfect start to life at Everton. The 30-year-old has played 15 Premier League matches so far, scoring two goals and providing four assists.
