One more year for Woodhouse

Rushden and Diamonds midfielder Curtis Woodhouse has announced that he will play football for one more season before quitting to concentrate on his ever-blooming boxing career. 28 year old Woodhouse from Driffield, who fights at Welterweight, won his seventh straight pro fight against Wayne Downing in just 57 seconds recently. And now he believes he can go all the way to a British title.

Woodhouse told BBC Northampton,’ I’ve said in 12 months’ time I’ll fight anybody in the country – not a problem at my weight. This time next year I’ll be looking to fight for the English title and going from there. You win that and then you’re looking at the British title, Commonwealth title and things like that. I fully believe they’re within my grasp. I’m a very strong welterweight.’
