Tomlin signs 3 year deal

Rushdens’ young attacking protege Lee Tomlin has committed his long term future at Nene Park by signing a deal to stay until the 2010/2011 season. Tomlin joined the Diamonds as a youth player for nothing from Leicester City, before becoming Diamonds youngest ever player at 16 when he made a sub appearance at Wycombe Wanderers. Tomlin then made his full league debut against Peterborough, before becoming the clubs youngest ever scorer at Weymouth in October 2006.

Manager Garry Hill is confident that his goal scoring wil continue. He said, ‘Lee is an exciting prospect and I am delighted that he has shown his loyalty to the club by committing to a new deal. I have no doubt that Lee will now push on and continue to develop as a footballer.’
